Peter graduated with a Specialized Honours B.A. in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University in 1996 and concurrently completed his Professional Fitness and Lifestyle Consultant (PFLC) certification. In 1998, he became a Registered Massage Therapist and has since worked in a variety of clinic environments with a diverse client base.
Peter started teaching at Sutherland-Chan in 2000, joined the Core Faculty in 2001, and has been part of the administration since 2002. He has since dipped his hand into a few academic cookie jars including Hydrotherapy, Clinical Assessment, and Anatomy. His primary focus however, lies in Musculoskeletal Theory and Practice: a course which provides students with the theoretical and practical knowledge for the rehabilitation of orthopedic conditionsand in the OSCE Prep; a second year course that prepares graduates for the CMTO Certification Examinations.
Administratively, as the Program Coordinator and Chief Examiner, Peter is actively involved in most aspects of the academic curriculum which allows him to support the students on many different levels. In addition to his time at Sutherland-Chan, Peter maintains a part time practice downtoan and works for the York University Human Performance Lab performing fitness appraisals on essential service workers, national/international level athletes, and various NHL teams.
