Sutherland-Chan Diploma Program Info for Applicants
Entrance Requirements

To be eligible for entry into the Sutherland-Chan program, applicants must provide documentation of successful completion of the following:

  1. An Ontario Secondary School Diploma or its equivalent. If you have obtained your high school diploma outside of Canada. If you cannot provide such documentation, you will be required to do a high school equivalency test.

  2. A recent science course with a final grade of 65% or higher in one of the following categories:
    a) Grade 12 Biology or Grade 11 Biology (college preparation).
    b)An applicable Human Science Course in biology or physiology.
    c)Sutherland-Chan's Physiology Prerequisite Course

  3. Sutherland-Chan's Introduction to Massage Prerequisite Course or equivalent 16-hour Basic Massage course.

  4. Grade 12 or college English course with a grade of 65% or higher. Students with a mark lower than 65% may write the Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT) or elect to take the Sutherland-Chan Physiology Prerequisite Course rather than the CAAT.

  5. A Current Police Background Check.

At the completion of Year One, students must demonstrate physical readiness to proceed to Year Two.
