![]() Prerequisite Physiology Course This course is for anyone who is considering entering a massage therapy program or who has a general interest in the world of anatomy and physiology. The focus of the course is on developing scientific language skills, learning the basics of cell structure and function, and providing an overview of the body systems. Applicants to the Sutherland-Chan diploma program may be required to complete our Physiology Prerequisite Course if they have not previously taken a course that meets the science requirement. Such applicants must pass the course in order to be accepted - the passing grade is 65%, 75% on a second try. Candidates who have already met our science requirement and been accepted into the program may still decide to take this course for their own benefit. Many have been out of school for several years and can make good use of an enjoyable course which helps ease the transition back into the classroom. Others may feel that a referesher on basic science concepts is not a bad idea. We invite any of you who are thinking along these lines to enroll in our Physiology Prerequisite Course to serve your own purposes in getting ready for school.
