Our two-year program is known for its academic rigour and for the extensive clinical experience we provide our students. They begin treating the 'well' public in Student Clinic in the second half of their first year and continue with weekly Student Clinic shifts until they graduate. In Year II, they also gain tremendous experience working with many different types of people and conditions in our Outreach program, both at our school and at hospital and agency locations. The Outreach program provides massage therapy free or at cost recovery to clients who are not likely to be able to access it otherwise. The benefit to students, in addition to exposure to many physical conditions they would not ordinarily encounter in Student Clinic, is in building their confidence and versatility as practitioners.
Our graduates have also consistently excelled in the Ontario certification examinations and are preferentially hired by many employers.
